  • Q: I never received my PIN number for my debit card, can I get it from you?

A: While we don't have record of any PIN numbers, we can re-order your PIN number and even have it sent to one of our branch offices, or you can call 1-877-746-6746 and change it to whatever you would like. There is a $1 for this service but it updates within 24-48 hours.

A: Yes, we are federally insured through the NCUA, National Credit Union Association. NCUA insures at the moment up to $250,000 for each individual person. As a side note, every penny that NCUA has insured has been paid back to whomever it was owed.

If you are self employed, you will need to provide complete signed copies of your last two years of tax returns (personal and business), along with a current profit and loss statement. Unless the loan is for a purchase, you will also need to supply a copy of your Homeowners insurance and Flood Insurance (if applicable).

  • Q: When will my check that I deposited be available to me?

A: Most checks will be available next day, but this is dependent on a few factors. How much is the check for? Is it a local check? How long has your account been open? What type of check is it? All these factors together determine how long a check may have a hold on it. When you go to make your deposit make sure to ask a KeyPoint associate how long the check will be on hold if you are unsure.

  • Q: How do I get set up to check my account online?

A: Every member has the ability to check their account online. First you need to talk to a KeyPoint Associate and give them a valid e-mail address. Once this has been taken care of, you go to www.keypointfcu.com and click on Online Services. From there, click the first KeyPoint Icon that says ePoint Internet Banking at the bottom and it will take you to the log-in screen. Once there, if it is the first time you are logging in then you need to click on the blue hyperlink that says "Forgot Password" then put in your account number and click "send". This will send a temporary password to the e-mail addresses you provided to the KeyPoint Associate. You then go back to the log-in screen and put in your account number in the "User ID" blank, and in the "Password" blank below that you need to put in the temporary password that you received. This password is space sensitive and case sensitive so it needs to be entered in exactly as in the e-mail. Once this has been done it will ask you to type in your current password and then type in a new password of your choosing and then re-type it.

  • Q: What do I need to do once my Certificate of Deposit (CD) matures?

A: If you had a normal CD (6 months, or 1-5 years) then you have ten days to either take the CD out, transfer it into another account, or transfer it into another CD of a different type. If no changes are made then your CD will rollover into a new CD of the same length at the current rate for that CD and the amount will be the total amount of the previous CD, interest included. If you had a CD special (9 months, 13 months, etc) then your CD will automatically rollover into your base share account. If at any time you would like your CD to be transferred into a different account you own once it matures, or into a CD of a different type once it matures, you can talk to a KeyPoint Associate and we can get that set up for you.

  • Q: What is a Credit Union Service Center?

A: As a member of KeyPoint FCU you can use what's known as Shared Branching and go to any service center outlet and enjoy the convenience of making deposits, cash withdrawals of up to $500 a day, and loan payments to your KeyPoint account from anywhere in the US and even a few places abroad. You need to make sure you have your KeyPoint account number and Driver's License or State issued I.D. handy, and some restrictions may apply. To find a service center outlet near you, visit www.creditunion.net to search. Any Credit Union with the trademark swirl logo is a Service Center.

  • Q: What is a Credit Union?

A: A credit union is a member owned not-for-profit financial institution that provides members with a place to save money, get reasonable rates on loans, and receive a level of service not available at other financial institutions. They serve groups with a common feature, such as employee groups, geographical communities or religious backgrounds. Credit unions operate under the philosophy "not for profit, not for charity, but for service" and cooperate with each other instead of compete. Through this collaborative spirit, credit unions can serve their members most effectively and strengthen the movement by working together through local, state, regional, national and international structures. It is under this principle that the concept of shared branching was born.
